Pokémon Legends: Arceus - How to get all Hisuian evolutions
One of the most exciting aspects of Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the fact it features a variety of new Hisuian regional variants. Pokémon you know and love might have new types, attacks, or even evolutions.
While some Hisuian variants evolve very predictably via leveling, others require unique conditions to be met first. Some of these new evolution methods are teased by Pokédex completion tasks, but others are incredibly specific and difficult to work out.
So, if there’s a Hisuian evolution you’re stuck trying to add to your team, here’s how to race toward those new regional forms.
How to evolve Scyther into Kleavor
In order to evolve Scyther into Kleavor, you’re going to need a unique evolution item called Black Augerite. The item can be found in one of two ways: By digging for treasure while riding Ursaluna in the Crimson Mirelands, or by capturing and defeating Graveller, which are coincidentally common in the Crimson Mirelands.
Of the two methods, we would recommend catching and defeating Graveller, as it’s easier to encounter large numbers of back-to-back Graveller than it is to complete multiple treasure tracking hunts on Ursaluna. Black Augerite also has a very low chance of appearing.
Once you’ve got the Black Augerite, simply use it on Scyther as you would normally use an evolution stone. Voila -- you’ve got your brand new Kleavor.
How to evolve Stantler into Wyrdeer
In order to evolve Stantler into Wyrdeer, you’ll need to follow some very specific steps in battle.
Able to be found as low as level 14 in the Obsidian Fieldlands, Stantler learns a move at level 21 called Psyshield Bash, which you’ll need to teach it if you want to evolve it. You’ll then need to train your Stantler until it masters the move, learning both its Agile and Strong style variants. If you teach Stantler the move at level 21, it should have it mastered by level 31.
Once Stantler has mastered the move, you’ll need to use Agile Style Psyshield Bash 20 times, which is hinted at by the Pokédex completion tasks. This will offer you the option to evolve Stantler into Wyrdeer.
How to evolve Qwilfish into Overqwil
Much like Stantler, to evolve Qwilfish into Overqwil you’ll need to learn and master its signature move, Barb Barrage. After using Strong style Barb Barrage 20 times, Qwilfish will be ready to evolve.
How to evolve Sneasel into Sneasler
One of the easier Hisuian evolutions to explain, Hisuian Sneasel evolves by using an item called the Razor Claw. This item can either be found randomly in Space Time Distortions or purchased with Merit Points from Simona in Jubilife Village.
You can read our evolution items guide for an in-depth guide to earning Merit Points, but the short version is that they are a reward for collecting satchels dotted around the map of each major area.
The one catch to evolving Hisuian Sneasel with this item? You need to do so first thing in the morning based on the in-game time. Go to bed, rest until morning, and you’ll be ready to evolve it. Sneasler does seem like the early riser type.
How to evolve Hisuian Voltorb into Hisuian Electrode
Unlike a regular Voltorb, Hisuian Voltorb evolves using a Leaf Stone. The one shown in this guide is a shiny Voltorb, but this works with any Hisuian Voltorb.
How to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna
In order to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna, we’re first going to need an evolution item called the Peat Block. At present, the only known way to get this item is by digging in treasure spots in the Crimson Mirelands while riding Ursaluna. Be prepared for this to take quite a while, it’s a very rare spawn.
Once you have the Peat Block, you’ll find you still can’t evolve Ursaring. The trick to evolving it is to do so in the Crimson Mirelands on the night of a full moon.
Head to a camp and rest until nighttime, then check the sky to see if the moon is full or not. The moon takes a while to show up each night, so flying high or looking around from a tall peak makes it easier to see what phase the moon is in more quickly.
Alternatively, simply check your bag and see if the Peat Block is compatible or not with Ursaring. If not, rest until night and try again until it’s finally time for Ursaring to evolve.
Evolving Hisuian Sliggoo into Hisuian Goodra
Our final new evolution, training Hisuian Sliggoo to level 50 and then standing in the rain will allow you to evolve it into Hisuian Goodra.
